Albert Hofmann Dies

Hofmann, the inventor of LSD, died, aged 102 (who says drugs are bad for you?). He apparently had a mystical experience as a child that influence heavily his experiments with LSD:

It was during one of his ambles that he had his epiphany.

“It happened on a May morning — I have forgotten the year — but I can still point to the exact spot where it occurred, on a forest path on Martinsberg above Baden,” he wrote in “LSD: My Problem Child.” “As I strolled through the freshly greened woods filled with bird song and lit up by the morning sun, all at once everything appeared in an uncommonly clear light.

“It shone with the most beautiful radiance, speaking to the heart, as though it wanted to encompass me in its majesty. I was filled with an indescribable sensation of joy, oneness and blissful security.”

    To Albert:

I hope, my friend, that your wonderful mind is now FULLY blown….

you deserve not a tinch less.

    good on you.

    love

  2. marcus says:

Imagine living until you’re 102, having had a glimpse of this and wanting to find it again for the rest of your life searching for IT, finding ways to emulate the experience to find it remains a transient fleeting experience, sand that runs through the fingers never amounting to something ‘tangible’. Finally he won’t be needing the surrogate anymore, In fact he never had to since he always was that from the beginingless beginning …

  3. marcelo says:

Didn’t he die last year as well? Or was that an acid flashback?

  4. marcus says:

Probably that’s what’s causing the buffeting of the GEO600 convulsions of an acid flashback to the future from the death of Albert Hofman last year? So the cosmos is a giant LSD-experience?

“It shone with the most beautiful radiance, speaking to the heart, as though it wanted to encompass me in its majesty. I was filled with an indescribable sensation of joy, oneness and blissful security.” And as Bob says, then the But came in.

This is the advaita git experience of reality. I am the all thus there is nothing to be afraid of.

By the way, I ran across a dialog of the Niz where he was asking his visitors something along the lines of ” what happens to the man who gets bit by a rubber snake and now he is dying from the poison ?” I propose this question for the entrance exam of the
    advaita academy.

    Beatifically yours,
    Git

I know what happened to the man: He recovered and hired the most expensive lawyers to put a lawsuit on those chinese factories who are still producing plastics with colouringagents based on heavymetals wich are very toxic !!( they also use weakeners that are very similar to oestrogen and that’s why there are more and more men with boobs). And then he realised : “there is nothing troubeling you but your own imagination”. And they never heard of him since.
